Joey has been having bad dreams lately. The other morning she was telling me all about this owl who flew in her room and got in her hair and "really very not nice, but not mean" So I thought maybe she would like to express it by paint or drawing it. And it gives us a good opportunity to talk about it. Because just because she is only three doesn't mean she doesn't have the emotions of a 13 year old.... yes it is going to be a very long road. Anyway here is what we made.
It turned out good, she was really funny telling me all sorts of things and me really listening. She has never been an easy sleeper, at least not since she has had the freedom to get out of bed. So hopefully this will help her get her dreams out and her mind slow down enough to sleep. We will definitely do more when needed.
